San Francisco Travelin’

I love San Francisco. I really really love it here.

I swear, some of the people that live here are so good-looking that I want to applaud. San Franciscans are an impeccably well-dressed species, if you look past the scary hobos that live in front of the library. Everywhere I go, I see people dressed in couture. Heck, I’ve even seen a few hobos in fresh Nike kicks and Burberry trenches. I’ve seen a hobo with a freaking iguana sitting in his lap, for Pete’s sake. The beast was well over a foot long. Not that iguanas are couture. I’m just relaying a fact.

Yesterday, June 26th, was San Francisco’s annual Gay Pride Parade, which I planned to watch, but then chickened out on once I heard that there were going to be people parading their *ahem* assets. We went on a nice, peaceful walk instead- which involved absolutely no nudists- to the Marina area of the city. There, we stumbled upon the best bakery in San Francisco, also known as Susie Cakes. The red velvet cake was pure happy in my mouth. We also stopped by Beard Papa, a Japanese-style cream puffery, which- according to my cousin- is home to the best cream puffs in San Francisco. I fully agree. Thank goodness for all of these hills, or I  might gain a pound or two. Or fifty.

I recently realized that in all of my packing excitement, I forgot to pack my camera. I am currently working on finding a cheap digital camera, so that I can provide photographic proof of spotting Brittney Spears or Charlie Sheen while I am in LA next weekend. Hang in there with me.
